Mobility, flexibility, warming up, stretching, and cooling down are essential for adults to stay active and independent, and to reduce the risk of injury. Gentle movement and stretching help improve balance, joint function, and overall strength, while proper warm-ups and cool downs prepare the body for exercise and support recovery afterwards.

On Saturday, 23 May, the Community Health Intervention Program hosted its Optifit Outreach leadership for a refresher workshop. Biokineticist Demi Pretorius did an excellent job empowering our leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to better care for our members while facilitating their weekly exercise classes. Well done to everyone who attended.
