About the Role:
We’re seeking a motivated and friendly Junior Web Designer & IT Support professional to join our small, close‑knit IT team.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining hands‑on technical troubleshooting with creative website design and maintenance, and who is eager to learn, grow, and expand their skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out website edits, improvements, and design adjustments

- Assist clients with email configuration, access issues, and desktop support

- Perform WordPress maintenance tasks and content updates

- Manage support calls with professionalism and a positive attitude

- Contribute ideas and improvements as you grow into the role

Requirements:

2–3 years of general IT support experience

Intermediate WordPress skills (updates, content management, layout adjustments, basic site design)

Intermediate HTML skills (PHP & CSS an advantage)

Interest in website design, UI/UX basics, and improving layouts

Solid understanding of email functionality, connectivity troubleshooting, and desktop support

Good telephone manner for client interactions

Positive, outgoing personality with strong communication skills

Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new skills

Enjoys working in a small, collaborative team environment

Rogue CAPTCHAs: Look out for phony verification pages spreading malware.

Bots have got a lot to answer for. They now make up over half of all internet traffic, and while some, such as Google’s web crawlers and fetchers, have legitimate purposes, nearly two-fifths are considered malicious. Their power can be harnessed for everything from posting inflammatory social media posts to launching distributed denial-of-service attacks and hijacking online accounts using, for example, previously breached passwords.

So when we’re presented with what’s known as a CAPTCHA challenge, which websites commonly use to deter bots, many of us follow the instructions and click through. All the better to keep the bots out, right? Well, not always. Sometimes the page itself is a fake and could land you in deep trouble.

This could, for example, be the case with ClickFix, a social engineering technique that has taken the threat landscape by storm recently. Using fake CAPTCHA images, ClickFix spreads all manner of threats, including infostealers, ransomware, remote access trojans, cryptominers, and even malware from nation-state-aligned threat actors.
