Bottomup is an organisation that works with high school youth to promote critical thinking, social justice and participatory democracy.
After this year's everything must change summit (2025) we had a small exhibition of some of the art, poetry and posters the youth made during the summit. It was amazing to see everything they had done.

Some of Bottomup's chess coaches team participated in the FIDE school chess instructor course.
This course trained our coaches how to run more effective lessons in schools and equipped our coaches with more resources and chess know-how.
All our coaches managed to score above 60% with some scores reaching 90% .
Completing this course qualifies our coaches to teach at schools.
As BottomUp we are proud of this international achievement.

performing his poem "Welcome to Cape Town" at our Everything Must Change Summit. This, along with the poetry from the other poets from were crowd favourites! The poem really resonated with the youth.
