This was our bxing show event for Maxim Kids in Kraaifontein.
“Just bring us your knives and we’ll give you a pair of gloves”. This is the story of a group of people that take children off the streets and give their lives structure by teaching them how to box.

Thank you to all involved with this project to ensure we create awareness to stop crime and violence in our communities. Wallacedene in Kraaifontein is the first of many such events, but we need your help to support us to create an event in every rural area in SA and the world. Its time to take our communities back!!! We have a plan, help us to help the kids, they are our only hope to make this country and our world a better place.

Maxim Kids launched one of its biggest events ever at the Blue Ridge Sports Complex in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein. The campaign to end violence against women and children was embraced by everyone there.

Maxim Kids uses boxing as a sport to get the kids to participate in a sport and on the day we managed to get more than 23 knives from the kids in the crowed to exchange them for boxing gloves, so that they can come and join us on Saturdays at the Enkululekweni Primary School.

We provide education and boxing to keep the kids in the area occupied and off the streets and away from gangsterism.

The event brought the kids from Wallacedene together to compete against the kids from Khayelitsha and there was a healthy competition going on, in and outside the ring.

We had hip hop artists from the community entertain the kids, as well as some local groups from the area who gave us a show to remember.

Big thank you to everybody involved and who contributed to making this event one of the most exciting Maxim Kids have been involved in.
