Ever wanted a line across the page in Word to separate parts of your document? It's easy! Type three hyphens: --- at the beginning of a line and press Enter. Voila! Want it bolder? Type three underscores: ___ and press Enter.

Switched my laptop on this morning and Windows was telling me it had updated my computer and would I like to use Microsoft's recommended settings? Which means, among other things, changing my default browser back to Microsoft Edge (instead of Google Chrome), and changing my default pdf reader to Microsoft Edge (instead of Adobe Acrobat Reader), and changing my sharing settings (so shared printers disappear and shared folders ask for a password they never needed before. I frequently get complaints about these things -- and this is generally why. So if you don't want these settings changed, don't allow Windows to reset your defaults!
