I wasn’t planning a big change but Michelle, my friend of 53 years said, “It’s time.”

Not just because my hair had grown way too long, but because my blonde had naturally faded into dark.

So I sat in the chair of my stylist & friend Charmaine, who has held my hair & my stories for 30 years & we let the heavy dark fall away. We brought the blonde back.

When it was done, Michelle stared at me & said “Barbs… this is how I remember you when we 1st met… the light blonde.”

Not a new me.
Just me - uncovered.

Sixty arrives in July.
I’m walking in lighter.
