The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!

Reflection:

If ever there has been a time when we are called to pray for each other, and for ourselves, it is now.

You and I have the privilege to be able to pray for each other. As we pray fervently for each other great results are achieved. Prayer is the most powerful thing in the world, and we are encouraged to use prayer all the time.

One of the most reassuring things is to know that there is someone praying for you! That there is someone who is out there praying for you and holding you up to our Lord in prayer. I know how I depend on the knowledge that there is someone praying for me, not just saying that they will pray, but that they actually call me by name to our Father. We have to pray for each other. We are called to do that. We are called to be the watchmen on the walls. We are held accountable to pray for each other.

When we pray fervently, it is powerful and effective, and has the ability to effect change in our lives and in the world at large.

We are called to pray. There is no such thing as a small prayer, all prayers reach the throne room of heaven and God answers all prayers!

We need to speak out the names of those around us to our Father today. I know that He hears our prayers every day. Please would you call out the name of every member of your family to God today. Please would you pray for your friends, near and far. Please pray for our country and our people. Just pray. Such a powerful weapon! Please use it today.

Breath-prayer: Lord, I pray for those that I know, who need Your touch right now. Father there are so many folk who are hurting and in pain. So many folk who are mourning and whose hearts are broken. So many who are physically unwell and need Your healing touch. Father, I hold each person who is reading this today to You. I pray Your will be done in all our lives! In Jesus name, Amen.
