The IFTRA 9th Biennial World Conference will bring together invited education leaders, teaching councils and strategic partners from across Africa and internationally under the theme:
“Strengthening the Teaching Profession and Teaching Councils.”

Organisations and individuals wishing to participate are encouraged to submit their delegate details together with proof of payment of the conference fee of US$500 per delegate.

SACE CEO ENGAGES UFS STUDENT TEACHERS

The CEO of SACE, Mme Ella Mokgalane, engaged student teachers on the important role of the South African Council for Educators (SACE) in regulating the teaching profession, during a dedicated session held for students teachers from the University of Free State held on 29 May 2026.

During her presentation, she emphasised that full SACE registration is a compulsory requirement for entry into the profession and highlighted the importance of maintaining ethical and professional conduct at all times.

Mme Mokgalane also addressed common offences that may lead to teachers being barred from the profession and encouraged students to familiarise themselves with education policies to build a strong foundation for their teaching careers.
