MUNICIPAL COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS UNDERWAY

Endumeni Local Municipality officials, in collaboration with the Traffic Department, Peace Officers, and the Corporate Services Department, are currently conducting business compliance inspections across Dundee and surrounding areas to ensure adherence to municipal trading regulations, permit requirements, and applicable by-laws.

Businesses found to be operating without valid permits or in contravention of municipal regulations are being instructed to cease operations immediately until all compliance requirements have been satisfactorily met.

These inspections follow yesterday’s community march led by Phakel'uMthakathi, Endumeni Mayor: Hon. Cllr Mkhize, Make Dundee Live Again Movement, and members of the community. His Worship the Mayor, Cllr A.M. Mkhize, joined the march in support as participants proceeded through town to submit a memorandum to the Department of Home Affairs. The memorandum raised concerns regarding undocumented foreign nationals and businesses operating outside the requirements of municipal by-laws and regulatory frameworks.
