Our wonderful and courageous mare Asiye Phambili did us incredibly proud on Saturday, giving the stable and the passionate team from Hollywood Racing another Grade 1 success when she captured the Gr1 SA Fillies Sprint, sponsored by The Witness.

From a personal perspective, this is one of the most special winners I have had the privilege of training. To see a mare who has always worn her heart on her sleeve finally earn the Grade 1 victory she so richly deserved was immensely satisfying, and it was made even more special by the incredible support she received from the racing public throughout KwaZulu-Natal.

Moments like these do not happen without a team effort.

Congratulations and thank you to Hollywood Racing and Anthony Delpech, who have managed her career exceptionally well, our dedicated staff at home for their hard work and commitment every day, and to Hollywoodbets for their valued support and sponsorship. Thank you to Sean Veale who steered her to victory, providing a special moment for him.
