Our Story

Digisec was founded In February 1999 and has since successfully invented, developed, industrialized and commercialized and project managed a broad range of products ranging from automotive, telemetry, personal authentication, asset tracking, etc. for customers.

In 2002 Digisec met the requirements of ISO9001 and their quality management system was registered by Moody International with UKAS Quality Management.

In 2003 DigiSec developed an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) for an Air-brake Manufacturing Company SABEX (Pty) Ltd. DigiSec was the first company outside of Europe to tackle such a complex product and after successful testing, was awarded certification for safety critical automotive equipment from the NSAI in the UK.

Digisec signed a six year supply agreement with Henred Fruehauf/SATB and commenced production in 2004. Digisec became was very stiff competition for in South Africa and grew to commanding more than 60% of the South African trailer market with a history of zero defect.

In 2017 Wabco denied us access to their modulator valve which was crucial to our product and in so doing crashed Digisec’s market completely in a single month by forcing the trailer manufacturers to not support Digisec.

Besides sub-contracted research, development, product support and QA we entered sales/marketing promoting both our own as well as that of highly respected branded products.
