Why I don't recommend "packing" a reel full of grease, it traps moisture in certain spots. See the second photo, corrosion under all the grease.
This Okuma Tesoro had quite a bit of seawater inside, which is normal for most reels when wading. Best advice is to have reels serviced regularly and properly.
