Today we're celebrating some of South Africa's most-loved desserts and pies. The creamy comfort of a milk tart, the warm cinnamon goodness of apple pie, the zesty cloud-like perfection of lemon meringue, and the irresistible combination of caramel, cream and chocolate that makes peppermint crisp a national favourite ... and lastly ... pecan nut pie, no introduction required!

Fun fact: Did you know that milk tart has been delighting South African taste buds for generations and is often considered one of our most iconic desserts? It's proof that sometimes the simplest ingredients create the most unforgettable treats.
