The Euro Fire Conference (2013) was held on the 9th of October in Basle Switzerland. The two day event discussed the latest trends and application on Fire Safety Engineering. Some of the issues outlined by Lectures from USA and Australia were based on the Global approach to Fire Safety Engineering. A very interesting debate encompassed around the how to measure the qualification of Fire and Safety Engineers. In South African context this was a very important subject matter addressed at the 2013 SAQCC Road Show hosted in Midrand. Africa must move towards global standards and re-valuate the qualification in the near future.
