Distilling is complex, honest, sometimes dirty work. And when The Gin Co says hand-crafted, they mean it.

This is a truly hands-on family business, with everyone getting stuck in because they’re passionate about what they do - making great gin.

So this concept design embraces that hard-working ethos and enthusiasm, bringing it to life with a graphic that tells you that every single bottle has been touched by the craftsman who made the gin.

For a series of handcrafted infused gins with short print runs, cost-saving was important. We designed a generic wraparound label in black & white, with an eye-catching silver hand print to peak curiosity and enhance the story told on pack. The smaller neck labels were varianted by colour to assist shopper navigation.

As promised, here’s a look at the design that got the golden buzzer!🎉

The design is simple and premium, yet simultaneously fun and visually engaging. How we’ve managed to do that is by keeping the graphics bold and single-minded, but allowing the shape of the label to be strikingly different.

The citrus notes in your classic G&T is what inspired the shape of the new label - vibrant band of colour that wrap around the bottle in a spiral shape - much like a fresh twist of lemon peel.

The master distiller’s foiled signature is a personal touch that creates the very real impression that this is a drink crafted with care, passion and pride.

Let’s face it... G&T is a great drink all year round. But at the end of a long, lazy day on the beach, an ice-cold gin and tonic is the perfect sundowner for those summer vibes.

When The Gin Co decided to take their G&T On Tap into the bottled ready-to-drink market, they came to Brando with a packaging brief that aimed to tell a story about an “endless summer” - and the G&T that is an essential part of it.

From the simple, iconic graphics to the laid-back typography, we felt our first concept design did just that. The black - with a pop of vibrant, summer colour - enhanced the premium feel of a premium product, and would be a differentiator on shelf.

Although the Standeaven’s decided on a more traditional solution in the end, we’re still very proud of this design. Their product is flying off the shelf, so maybe they made the right call!

Recently completed identity and stationery design for the hair guru Brittany Weber (Jane is her middle name😉). There are only a handful of letters you can create a scissor monogram from, but hers were perfect! Job done. Great fun to work on, great client, great result (IMHO!). Thanks Brittany Jane!
