𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 – 𝗗𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲

Dewald epitomises the spirit of a real Titanium by having a 'never say die' attitude. He endeavours to finish what he starts. His first and only participation at the Comrades Marathon was in 2019. He was running in his daughter Karla’s memory, and it was heart-breaking when he was cut-off at Polly Shortts. He comes back for the 2022 edition better prepared and armed with a secret weapon by his side this time around, that being his wife Yolandi.

Dewald has an official marathon PB of 4h45 but he is quick to remind us that after 42.2km of the CCTAC’s Comrades Long Run he was sitting at 4h38 which is better than his PB. On the Ultra Marathon front he boasts a time of 6h18 for the Swasap Ultra Marathon (52km).

Dewald believes that the kind of training that he was exposed to at the club has prepared him adequately for the Ultimate Human Race and we do concur with his assessment.
