Winter sunsets are so dramatic, and I love them.

Don't be scared of a winter family shoot, it can be the most magical sunset that Cape Town has to offer.

Yes, sometimes we don't see the sun, but the drama the clouds provide, and the magical diffused light, is equally as beautiful.

3 TIPS on how kids have fun during an early morning winters sunrise shoot?

Tip 1: BLANKETS - and lots of them. Not only to keep them warm but to pretend to be batman, a princess train. Games include who can get their blanket higher while running to Aunty Amy, is always a favourite.

Tip 2: SNACKS - Need I say more? An early morning snack is always a treat, especially when you can eat in the car.

Tip 3: HOT CHOCOLATE Bribary. While I am not a fan of bribary in these situations it works like a bomb. Kids here hot chocolate and I ask them how much they love it, the smiles are contagious.
