Pambele Aviation has called Grand Central Airport home for just shy of 20 years. With our entire fleet now based at Lanseria, it’s always special to return to our home base and see our aircraft from the office windows.

After 11,175 Nautical Miles, thousands of gallons of fuel and countless litres of coffee later, the crew filed their last flight plan from Zanzibar to Lanseria.

This 1,380 mile trip is the final stretch. Crossing over Tanzania 🇹🇿 Malawi 🇲🇼 Mozambique 🇲🇿 Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 and even flying past Limpopo Valley, Botswana. It will soon know these sights to be home.

It’s been a massive journey, but the crew and ZS-TUL made it safe and sound to Lanseria. Awaiting the new adventure to come. Welcome home ZS-TUL 🇿🇦 ♥️

After refuelling in Keflavík, Iceland 🇮🇸, the crew pushed forward and headed for Belfast, Ireland 🇮🇪 for a well deserved overnight. Ironically, Belfast turned out to be colder than Iceland and the crew were suprised to find ZS-TUL covered in a good amount of ice from the night before. 🥶

With a good de-icing session behind them, the crew headed for the long trek over Europe to Dubrovnic, Croatia 🇭🇷 for another refuelling stop. At least there were some gorgeous views from the flight deck.

Next, the African continent. With Luxor, Egypt loaded onto the FMC, the crew are inching their way closer to South Africa.
