ESKOM “HUBS ON WHEELS” ARRIVES IN IVORY PARK ON WEDNESDAY
Residents of Ivory Park are invited to meet directly with Eskom officials as the power utility brings its Hubs on Wheels mobile service centre to the community on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.
The initiative allows customers to receive assistance with electricity-related issues without travelling to distant offices.
📍 Venue: North Hall, 8712 Freedom Drive, Ivory Park Extension 9 (Ward 133)
🕘 Time: 09:00 – 12:00
What residents can get help with:
• Buying and loading electricity tokens
• Move-in and move-out electricity account processes
• Updating customer details
• Reporting power outages
• Transformer replacement enquiries and technical issues
This outreach programme is part of Eskom’s effort to bring services closer to communities and improve communication with customers.
Ivory Park Times urges residents to make use of this opportunity to resolve long-standing electricity issues and obtain correct information from Eskom representatives.

IVORY PARK WATER STRIKE ERUPTS
The water strike in Ebony Park was officially called off after community leaders reportedly gave the City of Johannesburg and Johannesburg Water 14 days to deliver a permanent solution.
But just as Ebony Park’s protest ended, a new shutdown erupted in Ivory Park 2 during the late hours of Wednesday night.
Residents, who say they have been without water for three weeks, took to the streets demanding supply.
Clashes Reported
The situation escalated when protesters were allegedly shot with live ammunition by minibus taxi drivers along August Drive.
Traffic is at a standstill from Ivory Park through to Busy Corner. Nearby shops have shut their doors for fear of looting.
Public safety concerns are growing as tensions rise.The situation in Ivory Park remains tense, and this is still a developing story.
