Once again looking into the world and seeing all the negative things going on and wondering exactly what it would be like to live in a world where love comes first, where you are of like mind with your fellow humans, have clear vision and purpose and the word PEACE comes to mind.
Something I'm sure everyone would aspire to. Is this achievable and to my way of thinking the answer is yes. It is that state where you know deep down in your heart that everything is going to be just fine.

You might ask how?
I know this because on whom God's favor rests, He also gives peace.
Luke 2:14(NIV)
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me for I am a child of the Living God so I am assured of and know I have favor with God.
I have made a decision not to focus my attention on the negative things but to make every effort to be a blessing to others first. A smile at someone I would have no need to smile at. Help someone with something they are struggling with. Take a plate of food to someone who is feeling down and spend a little time chatting about positive things. Chat to the lady at the till and ask her how she is. Brighten someone else’s day and you will see the blessing.
Pick something from this list of things we have been anointed to do and just try it and you will see the glory of God in action through such simple act of giving. It is really not hard, just break the ice.
Isaiah 61
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. ...

Hey Guys,
I was thinking as I was watching the news; there is nothing good and uplifting and positive happening on any news channel. People stirring up people wherever you look. The worst atrocities being committed and televised but I am sure atrocities have been committed since time immemorial so this is not new under the sun but to the extent that we see it now is just gob smacking! Atrocious and very sad.

When we look at all the nice positive things people are posting today on Facebook we need to realize how privileged we are to live in this country of South Africa. Good family activities, happy celebrations amongst our friends and families. We are blessed.

Even though we have corruption and crazy decision makers who seem to be a law unto themselves, we still have a quality of life that millions would give anything to have.

We celebrated Heritage Day and Braai Day and others are literally dying around the world on TV. We need to count our blessings and thank God we were born in a time and place like this. South Africans can do better if we stop moaning and living in the past. That is history and if you continue to look back with so much intensity on past, you will miss out on the future and before you know it you will be living with regret.

God has placed us here in South Africa for such a time as this, not to moan and whine but to make a difference in the area of our influence. Give a little, smile a little, spend time talking face to face with someone you don't know. Just make an effort every day and I guarantee it will make you a happier person.
