📢Afropolitan Explosiv June 2026 recap:
On 20 June 2026 we held our heritage themed Youth day celebration showcasing dynamic Newcastle talent. This was in remembrance of Mazisi Kunene, UNESCO Poet Laureate (1993) who, despite exile, insisted on writing his poetry in isiZulu to preserve his African heritage, oppose colonial prejudices.
