A Letter to Newcastle Municipality Regarding the Baxter Street Water Leak

Dear Newcastle Municipality ,

This letter is not written to attack the Municipality. It is written because we care about Newcastle, we care about our community, and we believe trust between residents and the Municipality is built through honesty, accountability, and clear communication.

Today, I want to address the water leak in Baxter Street, Pioneer Park.
This was not a new issue. The leak existed for approximately two to three years and was reported repeatedly by multiple community members.

We personally reported it, and we have video evidence from April 2026 showing our report. During that interaction, it was confirmed that a report had already been logged approximately three weeks earlier. This confirms the Municipality was aware of the issue before our report.
