Not In My Name International

Sibongile Nkoane is a community activist, social justice advocate, and financial services
professional dedicated to empowering communities and advancing active citizen participation in
South Africa. Born in Witbank, Mpumalanga, Sibongile relocated to Mamelodi, Pretoria, in 2015,
where she has continued to contribute to community development and civic engagement.
In 2016, Sibongile joined Save South Africa (Save SA), a civil society movement that promoted
constitutional governance, accountability, and ethical leadership. Through this involvement,
Sibongile participated in initiatives aimed at strengthening citizen participation and advocating for a
transparent and accountable society.
In 2017, Sibongile joined Not In My Name International, a movement focused on social cohesion,
gender-based violence awareness, youth empowerment, and responsible citizenship. Through
advocacy campaigns and community engagement programmes, Sibongile has contributed to
efforts that encourage active citizenship and positive social change.
Alongside civic activism, Sibongile has built a career in banking, insurance, wealth management,
customer service, and administration. Currently serving as a Client Portfolio Administrator,
Sibongile leverages strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills to support clients while
championing community development initiatives.
Passionate about ethical leadership, social justice, women's empowerment, and citizen
engagement, Sibongile continues to inspire community participation and contribute toward building
stronger and more accountable communities across South Africa
