Dignity isn’t just about what you can see on the outside. 🧦
When we think of looking and feeling dignified, we often think of a clean face, neat clothes, or a fresh haircut. But true dignity goes deeper: it includes the things you don't see, like having a clean, new pair of underwear and socks.
Through our Socks & Jocks Drive, our community of supporters stepped up to fill our shelves with these essential items for the men in our homelessness programme.
But at PEN, we don't believe in simple handouts. We believe in building a community of belonging and responsibility.
The men in our programme don't just receive these items; they earn them. By actively participating in our life skills classes, showing up for growth opportunities, and taking steps to rebuild their lives, they earn points to spend in our PENdula store.
Buying their own brand-new socks and jocks with their hard-earned points shifts the narrative from dependency to deep, personal pride. It restores a layer of dignity that belongs entirely to them.
Thank you to everyone who donated to this drive. You aren’t just providing clothing—you are partnering in a journey of restoration, from the inside out. 💙✨

We love our hood. 💙🏡
A massive thank you to our incredible community of supporters for standing with us this week. Whether it is a winter cold snap or a season of uncertainty, our team is always prepared to show up and ensure the communities we work with are safe, warm, and cared for.
We are so grateful that Sunnyside's streets remained calm, and that your radical generosity filled our spaces with blankets, warm clothes, and food. Your giving meant that when partner organisations approached us for assistance today, we were already fully equipped to share those resources and provide immediate support.
Everything given is being used exactly where it matters most through our daily programmes and our Winterhope campaign. Thank you for always helping us protect and love our hood! 🤝✨

"Injustice? We don't like it!"
This is more than a credo on our wall... it’s how we live. Injustice is our villain. PEN stands firmly against violence, fear, and injustice, choosing instead to build spaces of safety and belonging.
We are busy preparing our programmes and families for the days ahead, and we need you! This coming Monday (29 June), please help us protect our community by dropping off:
