She maintained there was no reason to stop proceedings and said Senona must answer relevant questions unless he properly claims legal privilege, with self-incrimination not shielding him.

Advocate Dali Mpofu stresses that he is protecting his client Major-General Lesetja Senona’s rights by resisting lines of questioning that risk self-incrimination and potential professional fallout for Senona, a stance Commission Chair Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga described as understandable while underscoring that Section 25 of the Constitution offered no protection and pressing for clarity on the remaining issues.
