COMMUNITY ASKED TO HELP LOCATE MISSING 20-YEAR-OLD

Platinum Weekly newspaper | Rustenburg – Police in Lichtenburg are appealing to members of the public to assist in tracing 20-year-old Kamogelo Mothupi, who has been missing for several months.

According to police spokesperson captain Majang Skalkie, Kamogelo, who is from Extension 1 in Bly De Ville, was last seen by a neighbour and friend in February 2026. He was reportedly seen again in Rustenburg during April 2026, but his whereabouts remain unknown.

Police launched a search and conducted extensive investigations in Lichtenburg, Rustenburg and surrounding areas. Despite these efforts, no positive leads have been found.

At the time of his disappearance, Kamogelo was wearing a blue pair of jeans, a white T-shirt and black Crocs. He is described as dark brown in complexion, approximately 1.4 metres tall, and has short afro hair.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Kamogelo or who has information that could assist investigators to come forward. Anyone with information is requested to contact the investigating officer, sergeant Thapelo Koboekae, on 074 734 8985 or 018 632 8019. Information can also be reported to the nearest police station, Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or anonymously through the MySAPS App.

Every piece of information, no matter how small it may seem, could help bring answers to Kamogelo’s family and assist police in locating him.
