Last night, Prof. Larkin had the honour of presenting a public talk on The Rhisotope Project at the ANSTT Conference hosted at iThemba LABS, highlighting how advanced nuclear science techniques are being applied to support rhino conservation. 🦏⚛️

🎉 RHINO RUN CHALLENGE – SATURDAY, 28 FEBRUARY 2026 🎉

Calling all adventurers! The St Stithians Girls’ College Environment Committee is thrilled to invite you to this year’s wild Rhino Run!

Brace yourselves for a twist: the Rhino Relay! Whether you’re a lone ranger or part of a dynamic duo, take on as many 1 km laps as you can in one hour. The faster you run, the closer you are to bagging some fabulous prizes!

This lively, family-friendly event is all about supporting The Rhisotope Project, which uses radioactive isotopes in rhino horns to keep poachers at bay and protect our precious rhinos.
