Our Story

Acudetox is the most powerful method of detoxing the human body. Often people who detox properly recover from many chronic diseases and mental illnesses that they have been living with for many years.

Acudetox has been around for about 40 years. Its was first discovered by Dr. Wen in Hong Kong who was trying to find a way to alleviate the withdrawal symptoms and cravings of people who were addicted to o***m.

His discovery was published in a New York newspaper and followed up by the late Dr. Michael Smith from Lincoln Memorial Hospital who was trying to tackle a huge addiction problem in South Bronx New York. Dr. Smith experimented with different approaches and finally settled on the 5 point protocol for detoxification. This protocol has never changed since it was discovered.

The demand became so great that he had to train hospital staff who were porters, admin staff and volunteers to assist him. As time passed news spread to other parts of the USA and many more people were trained in the protocol. This resulted in a national organization (NADA, National Acupuncture detoxification Association) being formed with formal training materials developed by doctors, psychiatrists and acupuncturists.
