Through the Zithande Mzansi Programme, Fibre Circle is helping learners understand how to separate waste at school, why recycling matters, and how recovered materials can be brought back into the economy instead of ending up in landfill.

This directly supports one of South Africa’s key recycling priorities: separation at source. By teaching learners how to identify and separate clean, recoverable material, Zithande Mzansi strengthens the practical side of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), while building environmental literacy and capacitating the youth of South Africa.
