MIKROTIK NETWORK TECHNICIAN
REQUIREMENTS
• MTCNA qualification is non negotiable.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Mikrotik wireless radio networks.
• Code A Driver’s License (Manual vehicle)
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN and WWAN design and implementation specifically on Mikrotik wireless radio networks
• Network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices specifically on Mikrotik wireless radio networks
• Experience with VOIP phone systems
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly languages
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• A keen attention to detail
• Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video and wireless network
services
• Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all
network hardware, software and communication links
• Provide end-user training regarding network usage and communication applications
• Collaborate with department heads to assess short-and long-term network capacity needs
• Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks; Including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPS’s and other hardware
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephone equipment, fax machines and other network appliances
• Establish and maintain network performance by building network configurations and connections; Troubleshooting network problems
• Manage the effective functioning and availability of Network/Infrastructure/
Communication Technology.
