Just received the following comment on WhatsApp from a customer:

"I have a confession… I opened the chocolate shortbread… family only gets back tonight… don’t think any will survive me for them to taste 😂😆🤣"

I also got a phone call yesterday from another customer to say that she's had to hide the batch that she bought from me this week from her family, otherwise her brother from Durban who still has to arrive won't get any!

I LOVE stories like this! It's why I don't actually know with 100% certainty the shelf-life of the shortbread - it never lasts long enough to test! What I WILL say is it needs to be kept in an airtight container once opened, and then it SHOULD theoretically last for 2-3 months. But, even in my house, it's going to be difficult to test that 😆

It's nearly Hogmanay, one of Scotland's favourite celebrations. You might call it New Year's Eve or Old Year's Night, but it boils down to a celebration of being out with the old and in with the new.
