Paxton access control and IP video intercoms were integrated with Hikvision South Africa IP cameras.
Impro controllers and Farfisa analogue intercoms were replaced.
Existing Nedap UHF long range rag readers were re-used on Paxton.
Hikvision ANPR cameras were used at the basement entrances.
They can be incorporated into the Paxton system.
The existing Hello visitor scanner system was linked to Paxton.
After a visitor is scanned, Paxton creates an exit PIN
linked to the visitor info.
The old analogue intercoms were replaced with Paxton Access Ltd IP video intercoms.
The system is managed via the free configuration tool
for easy backend management, including:
- set intercom names
- set triggers to doors
- customize button actions
- set volume
- all transactions occur on the Event log
- add an external camera if needed
Paxton is so far the most user-friendly access control system we have installed.

Protecting Lakewood Village from intrusion via the Hermanus golf course involves Thermal bi-spectrum cameras and IP horn speakers.
When a Line crossing trigger sends an alarm to Omnivision off-site monitoring, they confirm the trigger and address the intruder via the speakers.
PTZ cameras are used to track the intruder.
If need be, on-site guards and armed response will be involved.
This is currently the most effective perimeter protection technology available.
