We are pleased to share another demo and training video about building a standalone backup energy storage system for a client. We delivered and installed it on the client's premises and they can easily transport if they decide to relocate.

AC gear and other consumables are quoted and ordered on request.
For this project we're pairing 2x 12V lithium batteries in series to a 24V inverter with a 2.5kw Output.
1. Unbox the enclosure components and follow the included instructions to assemble it
The client intends to charge the unit from utility power, but the inverter has an efficient 3kw solar charger built in for future off-grid use
1. Remove the top lid from the enclosure and secure an anti-slip material to the bottom panel, then install the batteries evenly spaced for sufficient ventilation.
2. Place the inverter on the enclosure lid to work out the length and prepare the route for the cables.
3. Cut the AC and DC cables to length, then strip or terminate as required
4. Read the setup guide of the inverter manual and secure the cables to the inverter.
5. Prepare the DC fuse holder for installation. Attach the battery side of the DC cables to the terminals on one side of the fuse holder, then test the fitment of the fuses.
6. Remove the disconnector from the holder, then attach the inverter side of the DC cables to the remaining terminals on the fuse holder and reassemble the fuse holder.
7. Read the battery documentation and the labels on the battery, then install the DC link cables for the serial or parallel connection between the batteries
8. Re-install the enclosure lid over the battery assembly and connect the remaining ends of the DC cables from the fuse holder to the remaining battery terminals.
9. Install the fuse disconnector assembly into the fuse holder and close it to complete the circuit.
10. Update the inverter settings as recommended by the manual and battery spec sheet.
11. Plug the AC input cable into the utility outlet and the load into the AC output cable, then turn on the switch on the utility outlet to start charging.
12. Turn the power switch on the inverter to the on position to send power to the connected load
The unit should now automatically keep powering the load in case of an outage.

We made a video to show you how to replace your UPS batteries yourself in 5 minutes!
Most standard computer UPS devices are intended for controlled shutdown or switch to backup source like generator so its runtime is intended to be about 10-30 minutes.
If it is used for longer durations on battery mode regularly the battery runtime will deteriorate and then the batteries have to be replaced regularly.
A Small Router UPS with lithium batteries is intended for an esitmated runtime of 2-8 hours but it can usually only power 12V or USB devices like internet routers, WiFi access points and so on.
