Farewell to Phehello Motaung.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved musician, Phehello Motaung.

At only 18 years old, Phehello was not only a member of our musical family, but a kind hearted soul. His passion for music and his warm presence will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of playing alongside him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn his passing.

Phehello’s funeral will be held tomorrow. As his friends and family honour his life, we also celebrate the beautiful music he shared with us and the joy he brought to our performances.

Though his time with us was far too short, his memory and his music will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, Phehello. You will always be part of our band.

The VPO’s 2025 Charity Performance was an incredible success, and we are so grateful for the generosity that flowed from it.

Thanks to the support of our donors and community, the following items were distributed across four different locations: a family in need, an individual learner, a children’s home, and a foster care house.

Donor Contributions:
• Donor 1: 9kg of meat (distributed immediately on receipt) and 25 packets of sweets
• Donor 2: A generous stationery donation including pencil cases, scissors, pens, highlighters, colouring and art supplies, story books, and much more
• Donor 3: A box of clothing

VPO Supplies (purchased specifically according to the needs of each location):
• 144 HB pencils
• 100 blue pens
• 20 exam pads & 30 flipfiles
• 42 pairs of school socks
• 10x 1kg Breakfast porridge, 10kg rice, 3kg pasta, 2.5kg pap & 6 tins of jam
• 12 bars of soap, 10 packets snacks, 500g of popcorn kernels & orange cordial
