It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Eddie Simpson, who left us in the early hours of this morning.

Eddie has been part of the rally family for as long as many of us can remember. He will forever be remembered for his fierce competitiveness behind the wheel and his warm, gentlemanly, fun-loving nature outside of the car. Age was never a barrier for Eddie, he proved time and again that passion has no limits.

This year, he proudly competed in the NTT Tzaneen Rally as the oldest participant in the field, enjoying every moment as only he could.

Beyond motorsport, Eddie was a respected businessman and a true enthusiast of classic and vintage cars, with an impressive collection that reflected his lifelong love for motoring.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.

Funeral arrangements will be shared once confirmed.
