Family Left Traumatized After Home Vandalised During March

VISION FM NEWS BULLETIN

A South African man from Nwamintwa in Tzaneen says his family has been left traumatised after their home was allegedly vandalised during yesterday’s march.

Musa Mkhari claims that protesters mistakenly identified him as a foreign national before damaging his property. He says the incident has left his family living in fear.

According to Mkhari, his young child has been crying continuously since the incident, while his wife remains deeply traumatised and afraid for their safety.

The alleged attack comes in the wake of yesterday’s marc. Authorities have not yet confirmed the circumstances surrounding the alleged vandalism, and investigations are expected to continue.

MEC VISITS BAPHALABORWA FRAMERS

As part of service delivery week,Limpopo MEC of agriculture Ms Nakedi Kekana has today visited farmers in Baphalaborwa municipality. One of the farms known as Releputso agric cooperative in Mashishimale, was graced by the MECs visit which was to oversee critical livestock dipping and foot and mouth diseases in the village. This is one of the farming projects which is said to be sponsored by the provincial department. The MEC appreciated the royal council for their support in agricultural development in the area.

FIRE WHICH DEVASTED A FAMILY

A wild fire which emanted from electrical cables wired by an Eskom contractor, has reportedly costed a family their house which has been burnt from the roof top at Joppie village, Nwamitwa,Tzaneen. This incident happened yesterday early morning while she was away at work, a community member callled her and reported the bad news. Her three (3) children, the oldest been 19 years old, were in the house but did not sustain any injuries. A family of a single mother who works as a domestic worker, Ivyonne Mthombeni is now homeless. According to Ivyonne, she told Visionfm that, she has now returned to stay with her mother and her children. She has went up and down looking for help from the government and samaritans with repairing the house she worked hard to build. "I went to the Greater Tzaneen Municipality seeking help with food. I was referred to SASSA at Nkowankowa and I was told that within 2days I must activate the grocery coupon or else it will be forfeited. The SASSA official i approached, was never willing to assit me". She is appealing to samaritans who are willing to assit her with perishable goods, blankest and food items to feed her children.
