About the Proactive Education group
How it all started...
R**e Wise
R**e Wise is an organisation that was founded by a group of concerned Health care professionals in October 2000. The initial focus was the establishment of R**e Crises centres to deal with the scourge of sexual assault in South Africa. During 2002 - The focus changed to education as a form of prevention and over the years, R**e Wise has become the largest training provider to the department of basic education. Each year, the group trains over 35 000 educators, 500 000 learners and address about 20 000 parents in all 9 provinces in South Africa. Today R**e Wise in partnership with the Life Health Care group manages and trains the staff in R**e Crises centers based at each of the Life hospitals nationally.
The Proactive Education group
Following a year of market research, it was agreed to change the name from R**e Wise to the Pro Active Education Group, due to the negative brand perception associated with r**e.
