FAMILY PLANNING
Family planning allows people to attain their desired number of children.
Family planning is determine the spacing of their pregnancies.

1. Male condom
To prevent s***m and egg from meeting

2. Female condom
To prevent s***m and egg from meeting

3. Male Sterilization ( vasectomy)
Keeps s***m out of ej******ed semen

4. Female sterilization ( tubal ligation)
Eggs are blocked from meeting s***m

5. Withdrawal method
Out of the woman's body preventing meeting the egg

6. Implants
S***m and egg from meeting and prevents ovulation thickens cervical mucus to block. This goes up to 5 years .

7. Morning after pill
Prevent or delays the release of eggs from the ovaries.

8. Monthly injectable or Noristerat
Prevents the release of eggs from the ovaries ( ovulation)

9. IUCD goes up to 12 years

CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS

Methods of contraception include oral contraceptive pills, implants, injectables, patches, vaginal rings, Intra uterine devices, condoms, male and female sterilization, lactational amenorrhea methods, withdrawal and fertility awareness based methods.

These methods have different mechanisms of action and effectiveness in preventing unintended pregnancy. Effectiveness of methods is measured by the number of pregnancies per 100 women using the method per year.

1. Combined oral contraceptives (COCs) or “the pill”
Prevents the release of eggs from the ovaries (ovulation) 0.3

2. Progestogen-only pills (POPs) or "the minipill"

6. Combined contraceptive patch and combined contraceptive vaginal ring (CVR)
- Prevents the release of eggs from the ovaries (ovulation)


7. Intrauterine device (IUD):
