KAFUE MP DONATES MOBILISATION VEHICLE CALLS FOR TOTAL PARTY LOYALTY AND 2026 VICTORY

The Member of Parliament for Kafue has handed over a Toyota Hiace Quantum to Kafue District as a strategic mobilisation tool for the party ahead of the next electoral cycle.

During the handover, the MP called for serious mobilisation, discipline, and total loyalty to the party and to the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema, stating clearly that the time for comfort is over and the time for action has arrived.

She emphasized that the first agenda of the vehicle is to mobilise the party towards ensuring that President Hakainde Hichilema goes beyond 2026, noting that Zambia needs continuity in leadership to fully deliver development and economic recovery.

*We need the President to return to office so that we continue to have an able driver to take this country forward,” she said.*

The MP directed that the vehicle must be used strictly for party mobilisation, including reaching all wards and branches in Kafue Constituency, forming and strengthening all party structures and polling station committees, and ensuring that the party is fully present on the ground.

She further called for aggressive outreach to every corner of Kafue, stressing that victory is secured through organisation, presence, and vigilance.
“Our votes must be secured and protected. Kafue must stand firm and deliver for President Hakainde Hichilema,” she stated.
The donation sends a clear message: the party is mobilising early, decisively, and with purpose to secure victory and protect the mandate of the President in 2026

Highlights from the North-Western Province Constitutional Amendment Submissions

The Ministry of Justice has continued receiving valuable proposals from citizens across the country during the ongoing Constitutional Amendment hearings and submissions.

Below are some of the key proposals that emerged from the North-Western Province:

That the President, Members of Parliament (MPs), Councillors, and Mayors should all serve a maximum of two terms.

That the 14-day period to hear and determine a presidential election petition is sufficient, as it allows for a shorter period without a substantive President in office.

That the President should have powers to appoint Ministers from outside Parliament, allowing for the inclusion of individuals with special expertise in Cabinet.

That Ministers should vacate office once Parliament is dissolved.

That there is a need for delimitation to increase the number of constituencies and subsequently the number of Members of Parliament.

That all Provinces should benefit equally in the increase of constituencies.

That some constituencies are too vast, making it difficult for Members of Parliament to effectively reach all areas, hence the need for boundary adjustments.

That the age definition of a youth should be revised from 35 to 40 years
That the qualification for the position of Secretary to the Cabinet should remain at 10 years of service experience.

The Ministry appreciates the active participation and insightful contributions from the people of the North-Western Province. These proposals reflect the citizens’ continued commitment to strengthening Zambia’s constitutional democracy.
