Yvonne Kabba - Maramba Constituency 2026

Greetings, Maramba Constituency,

On Monday, i had the privilege of joining fellow party members in Livingstone at an internal meeting organized by our Provincial Leadership.

The meeting was graced by our Southern Province Party Chairperson for Mobilization, Dr. Edgar Sing'ombe, who attended as the guest speaker and shared valuable insights on strengthening our party structures and preparing for the upcoming elections.

During the meeting, i was officially unveiled as the Maramba Constituency Candidate alongside Livingstone Central Constituency Candidate Gracious Mayangwa, our City Mayoral Candidate Bright Hanakamba, and all 20 Ward Candidates across Livingstone District.

I am deeply grateful for the confidence and trust placed in us. We remain committed to working closely with the people to advance our shared vision of development, unity, and progress for our communities.

Good Morning fellow residents of Maramba Constituency,

I was awakened this morning by distressing reports that two of our fellow residents from Linda Compound In Nansanzu Ward had allegedly been murdered in separate incidents.

I immediately visited the scene and confirmed that the bodies of the two deceased persons were discovered within the vicinity of the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) premises. I have since met and conveyed my deepest condolences to the bereaved families during this difficult time.

The families have identified the deceased as Everisto Mundia and Muyunda Sifaya.

As we await the outcome of the postmortem examinations and official findings from law enforcement agencies, i wish to urge all residents to remain vigilant and exercise caution, especially when moving around at night.

I have also been informed that incidents of this nature have become a growing concern in some wards of our constituency.

As your representative, i will engage relevant authorities and lobby for the establishment of additional police posts and enhanced security measures to help prevent such tragedies and improve public safety.

Following consultations with the affected families, we will provide the necessary support towards the funeral arrangements. More importantly, we will work closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure thorough investigations are conducted and that those responsible are brought to justice.

Let us remain united, support the bereaved families, and cooperate with the police as investigations continue.
