The Lungu family, their stubbon family spokesman and their celebrity lawyers in South Africa tried to argue that ECL could not be buried in Zambia with a state funeral because he had lost his benefits ( by choice). They forgot that with or without benefits, his status of former President is what mattered most and it was a fact that even black Jesus/ Jahman could not argue. This was and still remains the stubborn fact, ECL was the Former PRESIDENT of Zambia and all Zambian PRESIDENTS, whether they die as former or serving, they are buried at embassy park and they are accorded a state funeral.
