NO REDUCTION
“And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.” (1 Kings 21: 2)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When Ahab requested to be given the vineyard that belonged to Naboth, his goal was to convert the vineyard into a garden of herbs (vegetables). In bible times, owning a vineyard was a sign of wealth and prosperity. The same could not be said about a vegetable garden. So, Naboth had a vineyard that was symbolic of wealth, but Ahab wanted to reduce same to a vegetable garden. Ahab wanted to reduce Naboth’s possession.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: what you have in your hands will not be reduced. Your destiny will not be reduced. Your wealth will not be reduced. Your greatness will not be reduced. Your opportunities will not be reduced. Your relevance will not be reduced. Your importance will not be reduced. Your glory will not be reduced. Your shining will not be reduced. Your capacity will not be reduced. Your finances will not be reduced.
Naboth got his vineyard as an inheritance. Vineyards could stand the test of time and could even be handed down to the next generation. The same could not be said of a vegetable garden. So, Ahab wanted to take something that could stand the test of time, and replace same with something that could not stand the test of time. Every plan of the enemy to replace what is valuable in your life with something less valuable, let fire answer.
Reducing the vineyard of Naboth to a vegetable garden, meant that years spent in making the vineyard valuable had been lost. It was an arrangement that would make a mess of time and efforts of both past, present and future generations. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every demonic reduction that wants to rob you of progress made over a period of time, I decree, the enemy will not prevail. No demonic reduction will steal your years.
Every Ahab that wants to reduce what the Lord has put in your hands, will not prevail. Every Ahab that wants your vineyard to become a vegetable garden, will not succeed.
Isaiah 60: 20 says: “Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.”
Declare With Me: What is important to me will not be reduced to nothing, in Jesus’ name!

7 THINGS YOU MUST NEVER SAY OR DO WHEN INVITED TO PREACH IN ANOTHER MINISTRY:
■ Never dishonour the leadership or compare ministries
Statements like “Where I come from we do it better…” grieve the Spirit. You are a guest, not a judge. Honour opens doors; comparison shuts heaven
■ Never correct internal issues publicly,
If you see errors, cover them in love and prayer. Public correction from a visitor feels like humiliation, not healing.
■ Never turn the pulpit into your personal brand stage
You were invited to minister Christ, not market yourself, your titles, or your next program. The pulpit is not an advert board.
■ Never preach to impress—preach to transform.
Revelation is not measured by how deep you sound, but by how much fruit remains. Eloquence without obedience produces noise, not life.
■ Never undermine the resident pastor’s authority
Avoid statements that subtly reposition you as “more anointed” or “more accurate.” God honours order before He releases power.
■ Never ignore the culture and spiritual atmosphere of the house
Every ministry has a grace and rhythm. Flow with it. The anointing travels best through humility and discernment.
■ Never leave without gratitude and blessing
Always honour the invitation—publicly and privately. Gratitude seals relationships and keeps doors open in the Spirit.
“When you are invited into another house, remember: you carry your calling, but you serve under their covering.”
Those who honour altars are entrusted with greater ones.
