Interpreting expiry dates for medicine!
Expiry dates for medicines can be expressed as a month and year, or as a day, month, and year.
For example if the expiry date is “November 2019,” then the medicine is safe to use up to the last day of November 2019.
However, if the day is also stated, for example, “1st November, 2019,” then the medicine is safe to use up to the stated date i.e. “1st November, 2019,” after which it becomes unsafe
