CHEP - Copperbelt Health Education Project

The Copperbelt Health Education Project (CHEP) Peer Educators yesterday joined fellow young people for an engaging Careers Fair Debate Session in celebration of National Youth Week, under the theme “Arise and Soar.”

The event was proudly organized by the National Youth Development Council in partnership with Jubilee Centre. The event took place at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

70 youths under the Urban Futures Project on Friday successfully graduated and received certificates in Agribusiness Management and Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship from Mukuba University.

The training was conducted in response to a skills gap identified among some project participants who were already running green businesses and enterprises. The program was designed to strengthen their knowledge in agribusiness management, financial planning and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to operate sustainable ventures more effectively and contribute meaningfully to urban food systems and green economic development.

The Urban Futures program aims to build a greener tomorrow and has placed young people right at the center of its work. The program’s collaborative nature, emphasis on knowledge exchange, and unified purpose are all focused on creating a healthier and more sustainable future of food in cities.
