Bad situation for the brooding hen

The brooding hen is in a bad predicament since others are bothering her. She is starving and thirsty. Parasites abound in the nest, causing her discomfort. As a result, fewer eggs are laid and the hatched chicks have a low survival rate, becoming unwell and dying quickly.

Good situation for the brooding hen

The hen must be left alone with access to eat and water, which is a good situation for the brooding hen. Clean hay and antiparasitic medications must be used to keep the nest under control. She simply needs to leave the nest for a few moments to drink and eat. As a result, the chicks are healthy and energetic, with a good chance of survival.
