On this World Press Freedom Day, I reflect on the responsibility we carry as journalists to inform, to question, and to amplify voices that often go unheard.

In a world where truth is sometimes contested, our duty remains clear: to pursue facts, uphold integrity, and serve the public without fear or favor.

Today is not just a celebration, but a reminder that press freedom must be protected, nurtured, and never taken for granted.

Here’s to courage, truth, and the power of journalism.

Happy Press Freedom Day Zambia 🇿🇲

REPORTER BRINGS HER DOG TO WORK.

While delivering the news live on air, this reporter melted hearts in the sweetest way.

Melanie Severino, a reporter for TV Patrol Southern Mindanao in Phillipines , showed up for her live broadcast with her little puppy by her side.

With no one at home to care for him, she gently kept the pup near her feet and continued reporting with calm professionalism.

To many viewers, it may have looked like just another live report.

But behind the scenes was a beautiful story of love, responsibility, and dedication.

Even in the middle of her demanding job, Melanie made sure her furry companion was safe and cared for.

It was a quiet moment, but one that spoke volumes, reminding us that behind every journalist is a human heart full of compassion.

Sometimes, the most powerful stories are the ones no one planned to tell. ❤️🐶

KENYAN "JAMES BOND" GOES IN FOR 18 MONTHS

A Kenyan man who clung to a helicopter as it took off after being denied a ride has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Stephen Odhiambo, now widely known as ‘Migori James Bond’, attempted to board a helicopter during the wedding of Oga Obinna in Migori, Kenya.

After being refused access, he grabbed onto the underside of the aircraft as it lifted into the air.

Police later tracked him down following a search. He attempted to flee and reportedly became violent during the arrest.

Although Odhiambo expressed remorse and pleaded for leniency, he was convicted on charges related to endangering lives, including his own.
