DELIMITATION OF KANYAMA CONSTITUENCY:

Fellow residents of Kanyama Constituency, let us be part of the delimitation consultancy excercise scheduled for 23rd February, 2026, at Mulungushi Conference Center @09:00.

Here is my short guide and submission :
NOTE:
1. Kanyama has a total population of 525000 plus
2. Kanyama has 6 wards which are:
*Chinika
*Kanyama
*Makeni Villa
*Garden Park
*Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula and
*Munkolo wards
3. Harry Mwaanga Nkubula is the largest

The First 4 wards are on the west side of Kalusha Bwalya road formerly called Los Angels road and the last 2 on the east side of the mentioned road.

Therefore. Following population and other best practices, and the principles of delimiations.

I propose: we have:

1. KANYAMA EAST (HARRY MWAANGA NKUMBULA WARD and MUNKOLO WARD)
2. KANYAMA WEST ( Chinika, Garden Park, Makeni Villa and Kanyama).

Note: NO need to have a new name for a constituency. We maintain Kayama and describe using EAST or WEST with Kalusha Bwalya roaf being the Easiest and more realistic mark between the 2 constituencies.

Both constituencies will have more than 100000 people.

The only thing and time I have agreed to with comrade Matomola Tom Likwanya is wearing this red jersey and not the Ideology on development.

I insist, Kanyama does not need a political party to develop, Kanyama needs a leader, home grown solutions, leadership from within ourselves, deliberate actions by all well meaning residents of Kanyama.
Development needs collective and Inclusive action.

The difference in developmental idealogies should not be translated into hatred.

“A Good dancer knows when to leave the stage” Senior Comrade Hon. Monty Chinkuli has done his part, he as run his race. And now is the time for him to Pass on the Button.

The Development of and representation of Kanyama Constituency on various issues affecting our communities such as Poor road networks, Limited access to adequate and clean water, sanitation facilities, limited number of public secondary schools against the population, limited access to public health facilities within the constituency, lack of skills training and rehabilitation centers to help address challenges young people face” etc, will now be charged and executed by a VOICE OF OUR OWN, a voice that will represent the community and NOT A POLITICAL party, a voice that shall speak for the Residents and NOT The needs of a POLITICAL PARTY.

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN KANYAMA MUST GEAR UP AND BE READY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELECTORAL PROCESS.

THE DEVELOPMENTAL AGENDA TRANSCENDS BEYOND POLITICAL PARTY LINES.

Had a fruitful engagement with the Former Minister of Infotmation and Media and incumbent Chisamba Member of Parliament, Mbabala member of parliament and Chairperson of the Parliamentary Caucus on Disability Inclusion and rights.
The engagement focused on how best we can advance the participation of persons with disabilities in the electoral process.
To help the team understand the status core, I shared on what has been done by the disability movement with the September 2011 Sera Brothetherton Vs ECZ court case ruling being a reference point.
