Bane, one of the most concerning yet least discussed issues affecting men today is the high rate of su***de among men.

Around the world, men account for the majority of su***de deaths. While the reasons vary from person to person, many men silently battle challenges such as financial pressure, unemployment, relationship problems, family responsibilities, loneliness, depression, anxiety, and the constant expectation to always appear strong.

From a young age, many boys are taught to "man up," "be tough," and "stop crying." While resilience is important, these messages can sometimes make men believe that expressing emotions or asking for help is a sign of weakness. As a result, many suffer in silence.

The truth is that struggling does not make a man weak. It makes him human.

Behind many smiles are men carrying burdens that no one knows about. Some are worried about how they will provide for their families. Some are dealing with heartbreak. Some are battling depression. Others feel isolated despite being surrounded by people.

Unfortunately, when these struggles remain unspoken for too long, they can become overwhelming.

This Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to encourage every man to check in with himself and with the men around him. Ask your friend how he is really doing. Reach out to a brother who has become distant. Create spaces where men can speak honestly without fear of judgment.

Most importantly, if you are struggling, know that you do not have to carry every burden alone. Speaking up is not weakness. Seeking help is not weakness. Taking care of your mental health is not weakness.

Let us break the silence. Let us support one another. Let us remind every man that his life matters.
