How can I identify my spiritual father?

Answer:

A spiritual father is not identified by titles, popularity, or personal claims. He is recognized by his character, his faithfulness to God's Word, and his genuine commitment to your spiritual growth.

Biblical principles to consider:

He lives a life of integrity and godly character.

He teaches sound doctrine that is consistent with Scripture.

He points you to Christ rather than drawing attention to himself.

He lovingly corrects, encourages, and helps you mature spiritually.

He is accountable within the Body of Christ and demonstrates humility.

Pray for God's wisdom and allow time for the relationship to develop. Spiritual fatherhood is confirmed through consistent care, guidance, and the evidence of God's work over time not merely by a title or a declaration.

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Hebrews 13:7.
