NOW this is how to jump start a car:

Step 1... Connect red cable to positive of helping car. Then other red to dead car battery.

Step 2.....Connect black negative to helping car battery and other end of cable to the body of the dead car...NOT TO THE BATTERY. Any place with clean and not painted metal; engine, hood or chassis.

Step 3..... Start helping car and idle for few minutes. Try and start dead car.

This method not only protects the batteries and computer box, but also charges the dead car faster. The computer will think that there is only one car/battery connected
